First Beach Will Take Your Breath Away

My first time seeing the Pacific Ocean on First Beach in La Push, Washington was incredible. As I mentioned in my previous posts, my aunt and I road tripped through Washington State. One of our stops was Forks, Washington (Twilight fans will be jealous), and La Push. Technically La Push and the beaches there are part of the Olympic National Park, but they are just too beautiful not to have their own post. Read on to learn more and see some awesome photos from First Beach!

Beaches in Olympic National Park, Washington

How To There From Seattle

To get to La Push, it’s about a 4-hour drive from Seattle. That sounds far, but the drive is beautiful and definitely worth it!

Hiking to the Beach

To even get to the beach, you first have to hike through the Olympic National Forest for about a mile. The hike is beautiful, with towering trees lining the path. Even without the beach on the other side, I’d say this hike is worth it!

First Beach in La Push

After hiking a little bit, we finally made it to the beach! It as incredible to see some of the massive trees laying on the beach. Just look at the size comparison to me jumping off of them!
