Where to Stay Near Canyonlands
When visiting Canyonlands National Park, I suggest you stay in Moab, Utah. For a classic Route 66 style motel, check out Expedition Lodge. For a more upscale, modern feel, check out Homewood Suites by Hilton. Both are good hotels in Moab!
Why You Should Book a Tour
Because the terrain in Canyonlands is so rough and the roads can be dangerous, I highly recommend booking a tour if you want to go off-roading! We had a great experience with NAVTEC and got to explore Arches National Park too.

I remember taking my family there last year, the Shafer Trail is a must-see, especially if you appreciate rugged terrain and a solid 4×4 challenge.
