I was recently invited to stay at UNICO 20º 87º – Riviera Maya Mexico Hotel to experience their Summer Supberbia Festival and the resort itself! It was an absolutely gorgeous property and we had such a great time. Read on to see my 7 favorite things about staying at UNICO 20º 87º Riviera Maya in Quintana Roo, Mexico.
UNICO 20º 87º comped our stay in exchange for media coverage, however, all opinions are my own and unbiased!
The Property
The hotel property itself is incredible. It’s clean, well kept, and has such a nice relaxed resort feel.
The Room
We stayed in the Alcoba Ocean View room with a big, comfy, four-poster king bed. It comes with a fully stocked mini-bar that can be customized to your preferences!
Our balcony had an awesome view of the entire property and the ocean!
Probably my favorite part of the room was the massive bathtub on the balcony. You can schedule a time for room service to come set it up with full bubbles, bath salts, and champagne!
The Pools
UNICO 20º 87º has three different pools, all of which offer poolside food and drink service!
La Unica Pool is the largest and a great place to relax and enjoy a drink!
The 20º 87º Pool was my favorite, and where we spent the most time! It’s the most centralized one and features a swim-up bar! You can also see the beach/ocean from parts of it which I loved.
You can also rent a cabana (not included, but the cost is a food + bar minimum). We decided to do it one day, and it was great to splurge a little 🙂
If you are looking for a much more mellow, relaxed vibe, La Escondida pool is your best choice.

The Beach
UNICO 20º 87º has direct access to the beach! To get there, they have the prettiest jungle-lined boardwalks.
Such beautiful blue water!
I bought my new DJI Spark drone for the trip, and wow did it pay off:
The Food
UNICO 20º 87º has 5 different restaurants on site. Unfortunately, we didn’t stay long enough to try them all out. Mi Carisa is a coastal Italian restaurant, we didn’t get to try it out for dinner. Cueva Siete is where we had the Summer Superbia dinner and it was fantastic — see more below! Inez Cafe is a casual coffee bar located in the lobby.
Mura House in the onsite Asian restaurant that focuses on Japenese. We ate at the Hibachi grill, and it was pretty good!
20.87 Restaurant is right off the main pool area. We ate here for dinner on the first night, it was just okay, but the breakfast buffet the next morning was delicious!
We ordered room service one morning, and they brought such a nice breakfast up to us!
Summer Superbia
During the summer, UNICO 20º 87º hosts an amazing festival called Summer Superbia. It features restaurant and bar takeovers, events by Michelin-starred and The World’s 50 Best Chefs, wine and tequila tastings, handcrafted cocktails from top mixologists, and pool parties with Tulum’s best DJs.
During the weekend we were there, Chef Abel Hernandez was the Chef and he hosted an amazing 6-course dinner!
It’s All-Inclusive
Best part? It’s all-inclusive! They also have an amazing spa, awesome signature tours, and fun watersports!
We had such a great time staying at UNICO 20º 87º for a long weekend! I don’t think it was truly enough time to experience the entire property and everything it has to offer so I would recommend staying for at least 5 days or a week!
