Staying at The Stagecoach Inn Salado, TX

I had the pleasure of staying at the newly renovated Stagecoach Inn in Salado, Texas. Located only an hour north of Austin, TX, Salado is a great option for anyone looking for a quiet weekend getaway from the city!

The Stagecoach Inn is one of the oldest structures in Salado! According to their website, many varied and distinguished persons have found food and rest inside their walls throughout history:  Sam Houston, General George Custer, Robert E. Lee, Jr., cattle barons Shanghai Pierce and Charles Goodnight, and outlaws Sam Bass and Jesse James!

The Stagecoach Inn is also a member of Historic Hotels of America®, the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation for recognizing and celebrating the finest historic hotels across America.

The newly renovated rooms are so cute! Shelby and I stayed in a junior suite — it came with a living room, kitchenette, bedroom, and 1.5 baths!

Our king bed was super comfy — perfect for a girls weekend sleepover 😉 They also have big TV in the room with lots of channels!

Nearly every room has a cute patio that is great for enjoying morning coffee or an evening drink before dinner.

They also have double rooms that are equally cute! All the rooms that we toured were very spacious.

We had dinner at the restaurant onsite. While the service was a little slow on the evening we visited, the food was still great!

We got a couple appetizers, the pimento cheese dip was delish! My friends also really liked the tea bread.

I ordered the steak as my main, and it was pretty good. The fried catfish and grilled Ribeye entrees are apparently fan favorites as well!

Brunch at Stagecoach Inn

I loved their brunch even more than the dinner — we had the most delicious spread: Buttermilk Waffles, Pulled Pork Benedict, Home Fries, Smoked-Bacon, Orange Juice and coffee!

I would highly recommend the pulled pork eggs Benedict, it was one of the best I’ve ever had!

No joke, I would drive from Austin just for this brunch at Stagecoach Inn!

It’s so quiet in Salado, you can truly relax and lounge by the pool (or fly a drone in my case hehe), which I loved.
