Ha Long Bay, Vietnam, located 3.5 hours out of Hanoi, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and incredible to see. I had always wanted to visit and finally got to on my trip through Southeast Asia. It definitely lived up to my expectations!
The best way to see Ha Long Bay is by cruise. We did an overnight one, and it was great seeing the bay like that! The limestone karsts are unlike anything you’ve ever seen. These 17 photos from my trip will make you want to visit ASAP! And you should because it’s amazing 😉
Ha Long Bay, Vietnam

We stopped at a small island where you can climb to the top of a mountain and see the bay from way high up! It’s a helluva a hike I won’t lie, but for the view below, it’s worth it. A 360 degree view of the bay is worth the sweat and loss of breath 😉

I would recommend doing a kayak tour, its cool to explore the caves formed in the limestone. We also saw monkeys that live on the different islands! Thankfully they weren’t aggressive like the ones in Bali.

Sunset + Night

Since the bay is so remote, there is no light pollution, meaning the sky is so clear at night.

Halong Bay is truly unlike anything else in the world, it’s just incredible! I would absolutely go back and visit again.

I hope you enjoyed the photos! Have any questions or suggestions about visiting Ha Long Bay? Let me know in the comments below or send me a DM on Instagram! I will do my best to answer them 🙂
